M.Div./M.Min. – Religious Leadership Emphasis

Even within a faith tradition that is egalitarian and community-focused, leadership is essential. Among Friends, this leadership takes many forms. It can be associated with an office, or it can be informal. It might be prophetic leadership that challenges organized structures and hierarchies. The call to service in ministry brings with it inevitable demands for leadership.

Preparation for responsible leadership demands an understanding of organizations, power dynamics, and the demands and responsibilities of leadership. This emphasis prepares students for leadership roles within religious and secular organizations.

Courses in the religious leadership emphasis include: Organizational Leadership; Religious Leadership Formation; Quaker Process in Matters of Leadership, Fiscal and Resource Stewardship.
